Obituary



Marvin Brown was born on July 31, 1943 in Cleveland, OH. He was the youngest of 3 sons born to the late James Richard Brown and Marie Inman. She later married Peter Lofton, who became a loving father both physically and spiritually to Marvin and his 2 brothers.


At the young age of 9yrs old, Marvin dedicated his life to Jehovah and was baptized. Throughout his young adult life, he served in various capacities of the ministry. He preached the Good News of God's Kingdom in the southern United States with other young brothers. Upon returning to Cleveland, he married Diane Brown and to this union, on daughter was born, Marcia. Marvin enjoyed different privileges in his service to Jehovah, such as, becoming a Ministerial Servant, Congregation Elder and substitute Circuit Overseer.


He worked as a foreman in a steel manufacturing company for many years before becoming a Custodial Engineer for the Cleveland Municipal School District, from which he retired. Besides providing for his family, he also enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing bid whist and entertaining family and friends.


Even though he went through difficult times, he never stopped loving Jehovah and returned to him, dying faithful.


Marvin was proceeded in death by his wife Diane, his parents and his brother Richard Brown. He is survived by his loving daughter Marcia, grand-daughter Gabrielle Simone and great grand-daughter Zemi Salena. One brother Ronald (Shirley) and sister-in-law Priscilla Brown, plus many other dear family and friends.
